San Diego news guy says this is the most rain since 2010. A few tree branches fell, at least 1 power line down, etc. In TJ they are pumping water out of the basements. Glad I have wool socks.

4 am in Chivato and blowing 30mph....No rain yet. A couple of Pangeros had there boats flipped over in the surf. Hang on Russ.:bounce:

Russ - 2-18-2017 at 04:54 AM

I guess the weather has got a few of us up early today. Still no rain....

toronja - 2-18-2017 at 05:01 AM

5 am in Bahia Asuncion - several hours of high winds, a few bolts of thunder/lightning, and heavy rain started about an hour ago. The co-op had all of their pangas up the beach by this afternoon; they weren't taking any chances.

Russ - 2-18-2017 at 07:10 AM

7am We are getting showers now but nothing heavy. The clouds are really threatening. Wind from the South which is strange considering that the storm's from the North. No walkers on the beach....yet.

pacsur - 2-18-2017 at 08:01 AM

7:45am, just started drizzling in San Jose, light breeze.

bkbend - 2-18-2017 at 08:30 AM

7:30 in Bahia de los Angeles, wind hit about 3am, rain shortly after that. The wind died down about 6am but still raining lightly although the clouds have lifted to about 4000 ft as I can now see the top of Mike's Mt. About 1/2 inch of water in the bucket I set out last night.

David K - 2-18-2017 at 08:33 AM

Wow, thanks for that BK!
It was nice to meet you!!

In our part of ensenada, we got 3+" of rain. The wind blew up to 84 MPH on my wind gauge.
The power went on and off several times then went off for about 3 hours.

Lee - 2-18-2017 at 11:07 AM

In Pescadero, partly cloudy, E. wind at 5-10 knots, forecast for P.M. rain/drizzle, air 65-70, whitecaps on water. No big deal. Rain would be nice but don't think it'll happen.

bajalinda - 2-18-2017 at 01:11 PM

off and on pouring rain here (La Aguja) and wind - started late morning. It's just past 1pm as I write this. rain has stopped (for now.)

BajaUtah - 2-18-2017 at 01:33 PM

It's blowing hard in La Ribera but no rain yet. Weird having a south east blow in February. Hey, at least it's not snowing

pacificobob - 2-18-2017 at 01:37 PM

rain began 1330 local el pescadero

Lee - 2-18-2017 at 03:23 PM

Pescadero has S. wind at 20-25 knots, heavy rain, at 2pm, refreshing.

Udo - 2-18-2017 at 05:52 PM

Not quite 2"
That is a year's worth of rain for most of that region!

That first report was right on for GN....started blowing about 25 knots in the late afternoon then up to 30 at night then about 35-40 at 4:00 am with hard rain and lightning and thunder. Guerrero Negro is flooded in many places and signs blown down.

Today Saturday it has been raining on and off...hard at times so more flooding..many streets impassable and the lagoon is closed for the day. Here was GN early this morning before it rained much of the day on and off so water is even higher now.

i seem to have chosen a good spot for my camper!

The front hit here in Mulege around eight in the morning. One gust to 37 m.p.h. and a real dump of rain for maybe two hours. Some water running down the streets around the square. Maybe a half of an inch total. Thanks for taking most of the water away up North!
