dobromike - 2-20-2017 at 11:30 AM

I am living in San Lucas and am looking for a good English speaking Doctor in Mulege , my Spanish is improving daily, but feel more comfortable speaking English. Any Advice out there

About 2 years ago I went into the clinic and was pleasantly surprised with two doctors that spoke English well. The nurses and staff there still had an aversion to cleanliness though.

Not sure in Mulege presently buy there is one at the hospital in Loreto that just diagnosed a problem for one of our friends that the Docs in Albq didn't catch, He is now up there getting treatment. I understood he is very fluent in English.. will try to get his name if Mulege Clinic does not work out for you..

Thanks for the response Guys. I had been told about a Dr. Daniel Silva in Mulege, but all contact info I have for him is invalid. Does anybody know if he is still practicing in Mulege?

I really appreciate the offer Les, But I was really trying to find something closer to home. No I am not Polish, HahHah. I'm not sure I could live up to the handle "Good Mike". I have been playing the Resophonic guitar most of my life which was invented by the Dopera Brothers from Slovakia, hence the name Dobro. It has become part of my identity

The Mulege Clinic has 3 doctors who speak Spanglish .. 2 male one female...
There is always at least one there 24/7, At nite might have to beat on door as they have some sleeping quarters up stairs.. information came from gringo bombero

I am not aware of any resident English-speaking doctor here on a permanent basis. I think the medical providers at our local clinic rotate through Mulege, so there may or may not be English speaking staff there at any given time. I was lucky once when an English-speaking medical provider from Santa Rosaila was there by chance visiting his girlfriend who was on staff. But, the other times I have gone, no.

Currently no english speaking docs at the clinic. Recent grads do their one year community service there and they usually speak english, however none are there now. This could change next week. S Rosalia had 2 english speaking docs last month, ck with them.

Mtnpop, I will take you up on your offer for name of Doctor and any contact info would be appreciated, struck out in Santa Rosalia and Mulege, so the search perimeter widens. Thanks

Willy,
I have no phone. Where do I find an English speaking doctor in Mulege?
Many thanks!

willyAirstream - 2-22-2017 at 09:22 PM

Seriously?
20 bucks and you can buy a phone with 100 minutes or there are pay phones in Plaza Corona and around town, some actually work!
