I've seen my share of baseball in Hermosillo, Ciudad Obregon, Guaymas and Mazatlan. It's very enjoyable EXCEPT for the need to play loud music between pitches, IMO. I get that it's a cultural thing. But it detracts from the ability to converse between pitches............about baseball, about Mexico, about whatever. That's a great beauty of baseball, when you're in the stadium. Of course, many think that is a major fault of baseball these days. Just not fast-paced enough for the "device generation".

My friends who come down from the States and take in a game in the Liga Pacifica are surprised at the quality of play in this league. Much better than the A/short seaon, A, A/advanced-AA action they are used to seeing.

As mentioned before, baseball is more popular (by attendance) than soccer in several Mexican states.

I understand there is a team in Ensenada, loud music we all
have experienced, but respect is due to the host countries
likes, not that you suggested anything different. Bouncing
around Mex in the early '80's, every bar had a pic of El Toro,
F Valenzuela, Dodger pitcher. Baseball season marks the
turn toward summer for me
