''Still others come to while away the hours at the iconic Hotel California’s long wooden bar, which, contrary to local lore, is not the same lovely place named in the Eagles song.''

Todos Santos is literally in Vogue. Cue the cameras!

Very sad. Vogue? Conde Nast, New York Times! I've lived here 19yrs since retirement and never thot the changes would come so fast. Different people...lots of Newbies with little Spanish or knowledge of Mex Culture. They will find out tho that this is a Baja town. Not Napa/Sonoma. Have your Latte today, Lee? Chocolate cake? Soo decadent. Smiles. Tio

Tio, amigo.....I know it may seem like just yesterday when you retired but 19 years ain't fast. However, the development of Cabo certainly accelerated the development of Todos.

Just spotted this article from "Dezeen" magazine about the Hotel San Cristobal at Punta Lobos in Todos Santos. Tres chic.

BAJA.DESERT.RAT - 8-12-2017 at 11:00 AM

YIKES !!!!

please tell me that the hotel is NOT where the pangeros launched their pangas and when they came back, they cleaned their catch right there on the beach.

also, there was a lagoon that had a religious feature.

if so, where did the fishermen relocate to ?

mil gracias,

BIEN SALUD, DA RAT

Yup same spot where those a$$holes launch spreading their nets on San Pedrito beach -- and still do. Karma. F' them.

there goes the neighborhood..."The hotel also has its own boutique, which sells local artisan-made products like beachwear, clothing and souvenirs. Rooms start from around $285 (£220) per night."

Haven't been there in 20 years I guess things have changed
Nice little quiet restaurant right on the plaza for an afternoon meal
Just memories now I guess

My last stay there, the rooms were $65.00 USD for the upstairs room with a balcony.
