Just when we are told fishing is gone and dead thanks to shrimpers, long-liners, and global warming... Cabo Magic proves again that Nature is in charge! Bravo!

Great catch. Should be released though. Roosters are not for eating unless you are a cat.

basautter - 7-1-2017 at 09:47 AM

Nice catch! What pound test? I agree with the above. Don't try to eat these. It won't kill you, but they are not the best table fare. Let them go and catch them again another day!

charliemanson - 7-1-2017 at 02:26 PM

small ones are quite good, but monsters not so much even for machaca.
That is a beauty.
do release unless unrevivable. Not sure that was a word:?:

Sweet!

I'll never forget being in a rooster feeding frenzy; 50 'Freddie Krugers' slashing all around my boat. The hissing of those 18"+ dorsal fans was so intense it brought chills up my spine. Not to mention the 45 minutes it took to haul one into the boat, short stick, 50 lb. test, 3/4 oz blue krokodile. April 14th, 2012, near Roca Frijole.

Yeah, one unusual fish proves all that wrong.

Kinda like, if one person experiences a breakdown in a Tacoma, they are all garbage, right?

One exception is now a trend with alternative facts!

Hook, you took the words right out of my typewriter!!!!!!
