Breitbart is interesting.

San Diego Union Tribune caters to folks who enjoy non-news.

Let's hijack this boring thread: JZ, did I miss the fireworks report? You were looking in SQ area? I'd pick some up to set off going South some time. Kids love them.

It appears some think the death of Jake Clyde Merendino, boring, or should be best left to the "National Enquirer. or a TMZ type news outlet.

I found the tragic death of Merendino, very interesting for many reasons, besides the obvious sensationalized love triangle, and deceit aspects of this story.

Rarely, do we hear of Americans, actually being killed in Baja, and when we do, it does usually make headlines, and we usually get a few fear mongers, who use these type of stories to scare you from visiting Mexico. The fear mongers, implied message, is this could happen to you too!

In many cases, you find that Americans who die by homocide in Mexico/Baja, contributed to their own deaths by taking getting involved in the drug scene, hanging out with the wrong people, or bad places, or they do bonehead things, and essentially leaving their brain back in America. In the case of Jake, he let his little head do all the thinking for him.

When Jake was killed, we heard all about how Jake, was this wonderful man, who would give the shirt off his back to help other people, and they didn't understand who could possibly kill him.

The truth of the matter, was that Jake, was answering ads for Mexican male prostitutes, and he became so smitten, that he showered his bi-sexual lover with lavish gifts, like expensive sports cars, motorcycles, and even at least $20,000 dollars in cash!

Jake, used to also throw his money around in Mexico, and went around wearing things like a Rolex watch in Baja! Is that a dumb thing to do?

The male lover, Meza, knew the gravy train wasn't going to last forever, and Jake, wasn't as stupid as most think he was, because he said, when things go south with his male lover, he would simple dismiss him, and get a new boy toy!

So it is really a surprise that Meza, the gay lover, would said he was really straight, would kill Clyde Merendino, so he could continue with the good life?

The poor white girlfriend, I almost feel sorry for her, because Meza, got her pregnant, and when Meza, wasn't with her, he was off with his American gay trick, who he tried to keep happy. What's a wife to do?

Anyway, interesting story, and to me more interesting than the current threads on "Baja Nomad."
