Nice article from 1979.

I stopped by Punta Baja a couple months ago, and it remains pretty tiny. The graded road to El Rosario makes it easy for most fishermen to live in town and drive to their boats on fishing days.
An American group went to great efforts to build a school there during a time when families lived at Punta Baja, many years ago.

El Rosario to Punta Baja village, April 24, 2017, 10.0 miles (add 0.6 to lighthouse on point end).

It still looks so small a town there. Amazing that there was already talk of getting fished out in 1979.

Thanks for sharing this interesting read.

They can have some pretty ferocious weather out there while in town it stays pleasant. Strange.

Nice clean looking peeler off the rock jetty and nobody is out! It must be quite something when a real swell is running.

I have never been out there when heading south looking for warmer waters, so thanks for the views. Thanks to all here.
