During the strorm, I decided to make the xmas boxes for the 7 girls in the scholarship program:
Part 1 = making the little bags for all the earrings I was given:
Part 2 = wrapping small hand cream bottles for each student
Part 3 = making care packages with q-tips, bandaids, deodorant and shampoos
and part 4 = boxes for each one filled with clothes that my nieces Kristen and Kyla and friend Debbie donated! Really nice clothes and the girls
will be dressed well in 2018!
Last year, separating the clothes took me so long. This year, thanks to my Mom organizing everything, it was a walk in the park!

Due to the lack of storms last season, my gardens are flourishing. A storm usually destroys nearly all the flowers and plants except the succulents by
the salt water blowing on them and damaging wind. Then I have to start all over again but things usually come back after being trimmed way back....but
all was pretty much intact as the worst wind came from the E & NW this time....whew.
My favorite thing about the storm were the thousands of butterflies that graced our garden for a day. On my walk yesterday they were just waking up
and flying out of their hiding spots in tufts of vegetation and plants.
Once again Asuncion comes out unscathed. I love where I live!
