A bud and I spent two days at the Asa Wright Center in Trinidad years ago. Hiked down to the Oil Bird cave and saw many birds. The highlight of our stay was spotting and getting really close to two English Double Breasted Mattress Thrashers. I will look for images to post.

fishbuck - 10-23-2017 at 05:20 PM

Didn't I meet them at Oscar and Felix's flat?

Loretana - 10-23-2017 at 07:03 PM

Si, Senor. I think Oscar called them "a couple of real Loo-Loo's"

A few more beautiful exotics with absolutely gorgeous plumage were spot in the Preserve at last weekend's Birdwatching trip.
Also best to see them before they put on winter feathers😉😎
