Thanks All, great advise...
mtnpop....Catavina is some back tracking, but was going to try and hook up with some friends there...maybe talk them into Guerrero Negro instead.

Hotel suggestion in GN ?

we stay at Terra Sol on the right just as you come off the curve to town..
Then there is Malarimo in town on the right also pretty good restaurant if you don't have pets...
Halfway inn north of town by the military base is ok, and the Cowboy on the left just as you come into town also...
Have heard yea and nay on all of them... but we usually always stay at Terra Sol... easy in and out with secure parking... restaurant is again ok but everyone has a diff opinion..
Buena Suerte

Right, Laguna Chapala north to CataviƱa is about 30 miles. Instead stay at Gonzaga Bay or go to L.A. Bay (which has many motels and campgrounds) for the night +.
