How do I filter a User from topic threads?

chrishaynesusa - 11-29-2017 at 10:44 AM

I am interested in filtering a user who offers nothing of value in discussions.
I do not wish to see their thread post in any topic ever.

how to accomplish this?

Don't click on it.

We can't help you unless you name names. Good luck in your venture.

You can’t. The software don’t work like that.

Other than bajabuddha's way which I have found useful there is a "report" button top right of every post.

Treat said user like he's just the ambient noise he is and ignore him. That's what I do. The benefits available here outweigh the inconvenience of having to skip over useless blather. JMHO.

Also, Russ is right, but I believe that the report button should be reserved for posts that violate board rules (see rule 4, here: http://forums.bajanomad.com/faq.php?page=forumrules). I've only used the report button once, and it was richly deserved.
