CBS Sports Network will carry the NORRA Mexican 1000 race on Sunday at 9:30 am PST and at 11:30 pm PST. The Sesert Assassins documented their multiple teams for this show. It includes the Desert Assassins, El Suertudo, Team 74 and the Chenowth teams. Also included into the show is the fun and rich history of the 50th Anniversary of the NORRA Mexican 1000 event.

OK, so it started at 9 not 9:30... I saw it from Loreto to San Jose del Cabo. Cameron won the race and along with his recent 2nd overall finish at the Baja 1000 last month is pretty good for him and his new sponsors (BFG Tires, Baja Designs lights, etc.)

I thought they did a great job of jamming WAY too much fun into a one hour program.

Funny that #216 didn't mention the crew that appeared out of nowhere & helped him strap his stuff back together so he could continue on 3 wheels into Bahia (oh yeah & then CHASED HIM DOWN for about 30 kms when he went south on Hwy 1 instead of north...but his bell was rung pretty good, we'll give him a break here...glad we caught up to him before Guerrero Negro!)

Just watched the NORRA 1000 show and I thought it was excellent. Well put together and better than many of the SCORE 1000 shows.

As you know, TMW, NORRA is about more than just the top couple of cars. It gives a lot of racers, especially those with throwback and vintage cars, to participate in off-road racing at its best. I just wish it had shown more of what the NORRA 1000 is really about...a race with a 1000 smiles.

I am the only one in SoCal without cable TV, so I had to suck it up and visit a local sports tavern. I asked if we could watch CBS Sports and the guy at the tavern asked "Who's playing?" I told him it was motorsports. Of the 100 large HD TVs blaring football, he reluctantly gave me a small monitor over the bar. No sound.

Why?

They did that at first and a lot of racers wanted to run more modern vehicles. More entries is more money and as usual money talks.

That is really sad Jim!!!

Here you go, and no commercials... I think this version fromCactus Films covered it much better showing more classes, etc.

Of all the NORRA series films, this is the best one because it does not focus on just the top five racers, but many other race and non-race participants
