Rosarito resident watches sister being shot and killed in Huntington Beach

EnsenadaDr - 12-16-2017 at 09:30 AM

Many people ask me if Mexico is dangerous? An American friend, Marilyn Helgeson that has lived in Mexico many years has posted today on Facebook that she went to see her sister Liz Noreiga in Huntington Beach, California and her sister was shot and killed while she was walking her dog in front of her eyes while she stood helpless watching. Guns are too frequently getting into the wrong hands!!

Doesn't read like the shooter was a criminal. The gun was just a tool. He was going to kill her by any means available.

condolences

One of my points is the availability of guns to the general public for whatever motive they have for using it vs. not allowing the general public as in Mexico, to be able to purchase a gun.

Yeah, it’s called freedom to do what you want to. Most people do the right thing. With 7.6 Billion humans you’re bound to have a few a-holes.

The bad guys don't seem to have a problem.

He was 78, she was 62, they were neighbors, they both had issues with each other....
First a confrontation, then a needless escalation and finally NO resolution for anybody.
The gun was a inanimate object, just like this forum

It's called the 2nd Amendment.

As history has shown, laws need to change with the times. The 2nd amendment is now the problem. Change is good! :light:

Think of it as your last line of defense against the government of Trump, maybe that will help...

Thanks EnsenadaDr, for reminding us that death, homicides, and violence can happen anywhere, and it's not just restricted to Mexico.

Regarding the alleged, murder-suicide, of a 78 year sick loon, or as the article characterized him, ( quite a character) against his 62 year old female neighbor.

It's another reason why we need reasonable gun control, because it sounds like this old fart, shouldn't have been in possession of a hand gun given his possible mental condition, sickness, or old age.

Always assume that your neighbors may kill you

And act accordingly.

I DO.

bajaguy - 12-17-2017 at 06:26 PM

Actually, it's not....legally or illegally
