-Entered Tecate on Sunday the 17th at 10:00am no cars in either direction. First night in Rancho Percebu (deserted and kinda beat up) realized that night we only brought one propane canister for our stove. Spent three hours trying to find fuel or convert our stove, found fuel bought all five they had.

-Gonzaga Bay for the next three nights. The Sea Shepard was in the bay trying to protect the Vaquita. Had tacos at Alfonsina's on our last night.

-From Gonzaga to Bahia de Conception (long day). Stayed at Coyote beach for 2 nights not my favorite spot to camp on the trip but the vendors in the AM had kickass tamales.

-From Bahia Concepcion to Todo Santos in a day (another long trip) the kids are traveling well. 5 days in Todo Santos. Made Shrimp al mojo de ajo and fish tacos for X-mas dinner.

-From Todo Santos to Cabo Pulmo via La Paz for 9 days (new years in CP) Friend flew in to SJDC and meet us down there for the 9 days. The snorkeling in CP was awesome.

-From Cabo Pulmo to La Paz for a swim with the whale sharks a truly amazing experience, will def do it again. one night in La Paz.

-From La Paz we in search of grey whales and had heard from a family from Colorado we meet to go to Puerto Aldolfo Lopez Mateos. We went to PALM and talked to some locals who said there were no whales in the area. We asked someone where we could camp and they pointed us to a asphalt area where the fisherman put in and take out their boats. PALM was a not a place where I felt like putting up a tent in a parking lot so we left. We drove to Puerto San Carlos arriving right after dark. We stayed on the grounds of the Eco-lodge Mar y Arena. Fito was very nice and talked with my wife who has been a naturalist with the NPS for many years about an interpretive walk near the mangroves with info on how to protect these natural areas. next day we went out in Magdalena Bay and saw some male grey whales who were breaching and dolphin too. No females to be found. The sand dunes and nomad fishing village on Magdalena island were awesome. Beautiful Bay....

-From Mag bay we headed back to Bahia Concepcion and stayed at Playa Requeson for 3 nights where the Biolumenescence was out of control!!!! Oh yeah a stop on Loreto for lunch at a brewery which actually had some decent micro-brews, I had the Rattlesnake IPA.

- From Requeson back to Gonzaga Bay for 2 nights and then back across the border, this time through Mexicali which was a mistake. Should've gone back through Tecate.

-Now back home and back to work and all I can think about is going back next year this time for 6 weeks to 2 months.

-We bought a Ram Promaster 2500 cargo van to convert for next year and other adventures throughout the year.

- Viva Mexico!!!! Viva Baja!!!!
