Partnership available

I own a 5br home in San Sebastian Cove 1/2 way between Mulege and Loreto. It is a very private, secluded community of 20 US owned homes with two full time caretakers.....locks are no neccisito!

Great fishing right outside of the cove since tgere are no towns for 40 miles either way.

House has 2 master suites on main level. Sits next to small arroyo and has lots of natural trees.

We use the house 2x per year for 3-4 weeks around April 15th and October 15th. It would be ideal to find someone that has similar needs at different times.

Land is lease from Mexican American who also has house here for $2k per year.

Nice view, that's for sure!

Paco Facullo - 4-10-2018 at 12:44 PM

If it's $100 bucks a month or less AND has a landing strip close by, I have the perfect person in mind.....

advrider - 4-10-2018 at 05:33 PM

Any other information on what the cost would be to buy in? What comes with the house and would you want it all to yourself on the times that you listed as using it? I have a shared cabin in the Sierras with another couple and it works very good, makes it much more affordable! More pictures too....

I agree, i am very intrigued, but really want more info about what the PO is specifically looking for, financially, use wise etc. also like to see more photos - either Via email or here?

electricity or solar/generator?
water?
air conditioning?
garage for boat/toy parking
term of agreement?
fideicomiso required?
legal fees?

fishbuck - 4-12-2018 at 12:56 PM

Paco Facullo - 4-13-2018 at 09:52 PM

Just a warning for anyone interested in this. This COULD be a SCAM.

The OP is a newby and is posting on Craigslist. Now I'm NOT saying it is but I just don't want any of the fine people here getting burned so

DO YOUR DO DILIGENCE BEFORE RELEASING ANY MONEY !!!

No pics of building probably because it is ugly and/or a dump

JZ - 4-13-2018 at 11:03 PM

Op, post actual pics of house and what your are locking for.

Otherwise this thread should be deleted.

elgatoloco - 4-14-2018 at 12:33 AM

Can I try it free for a month before I decide? :dudette:

The location is as exclusive as it is gorgeous and that's saying something. :saint:

Float plane. Cruise right up to your front yard.

CJ - 4-14-2018 at 09:48 AM

I know San Sebastian Cove is a beautiful area and the houses are done with good taste. And the ad is not a scam.Personally I can’t understand why the op would want any of you doubting Thomas’s for a partner!

Back when Baja had hundreds of (legal) airstrips...

Arnold Sentefitt called San Nicolas "Punta Pulpito" for the point to the south. The Baja Almanac still shows a runway at San Nicolas. San Nicolas is about 5 miles down the coast from San Sebastian, there is a road.

Rancho Rosarito is on Hwy. 1 at the junction to San Nicolas. The runway is along the road or actually used as a road. It was built in the early days of Hwy. 1 construction for supervisors to fly in and check progress. See Bahia Concepcion to the north.

willyAirstream - 4-14-2018 at 04:29 PM

San Sebastian Cove is a beautiful secret paradise and all the houses are top notch. The road from SC to S Nic was washed out in a few places, 4x4 would be best, as of 8 months ago.
I do not know the OP.

I can give you 130,000 reasons why he might want a "doubting thomas".

Don't think its to much to ask for someone interested in selling the place to actually post photos, and answer legitimate questions.

Timinator - 4-15-2018 at 07:01 AM

I don't know the OP, but I was in that house 2 years ago, it's very nice. It's one of the nicest in the Cove. There are some there that aren't something I'd be interested in, this isn't one of them. There used to be a several page article online about the building of this house and the people that built it. Very rustic and built very heavy duty.

Paco Facullo - 4-15-2018 at 07:32 AM

I would like to apologize to the OP if this is legit. But my post was simply a warning to be careful. You are new to us and your original post didn't give vary much information.

I wish all the best and hope you find the right person.

twiersum - 4-23-2018 at 05:49 PM

It's not a scam...I've been having some internet issues at the house but I'll post pictures this week. I've never had reason to take pictures inside the house and I just got down here again. I did reply to two messages but forgot to check on this post.

The house is nice but is also needs some maintenance which I have been chipping away at. I am asking $150k for 1/2 ownership and would prefer not to have overlapping use. I'm looking for a partner that is mechanically/electrically inclined like myself and will enjoy it and leave it in better condition each visit. I have a Jeep Liberty, a 20' aluminum center console, a 12' 8hp boat to fish Rooster in Concepcion that could be included.

My direct email is twiersum@comcast.net

My neighbors Richard & Cheryl are selling their house as well if you are looking for a very nice home....https://bajasur.craigslist.com.mx/reo/d/waterfront-property-for-sale/6560912064.html?lang=en&cc=us

I rode into San Sebastion in 2005 and 2008....one of the homeowners came up to the 4 of us with beers in hand in 2005, saying ," I have always wanted (when he rode into a Baja spot in the outback) someone to offer me a beer....so here's to you guys".

What a great welcoming :saint:

I was looking for some gas and they pointed to a guy's place at the cove's south end...."Brown Rice D-----" offered a gallon and showed me around....told a great story about smugglers and helicopters...

Seemed like a tight little community....

Paco Facullo - 5-1-2018 at 07:29 PM

Wow, extremely beautiful and welcoming !

More

twiersum - 5-4-2018 at 09:00 AM

Viajero503 - 12-2-2018 at 07:42 PM

So, what ever happened on this? Did it get squared away?

Very cool.

fishbuck - 12-3-2018 at 10:16 AM

Maybe the "road" part of the runway is still usable.

fishbuck - 12-3-2018 at 11:11 AM

I never found it. But I see the topic is old.
Found a nice cove when I was looking. No runway but a nice anchorage.
Keep dreaming.

4x4abc - 12-3-2018 at 11:56 AM

The runway at Punta Pulpita is well maintained and easy to find
actually Punta San Antonio is closer and should have provided the name
but that is not the only glitch - the Punta Pulpito description is combined with an image of the airstrip in San Nicolas (now used for horse racing)

chuckie - 12-3-2018 at 01:36 PM

It is a beautiful place and I have slept on that patio once when I was marooned there by a storm....What happened to Cypriano? Did he die?

do you mean the house at the airstrip Pulpito?
It is a big place now
caretaker, garage house etc

chuckie - 12-3-2018 at 03:12 PM

No...Cypriano and Manuela lived at San Sebastian many years ago in a shack with a dug well just as one reached the cove. He was a cripple,in a wheelchair. We left a Panga anchored in the cove and drove in now and then to fish. There were, as I remember only 3-4 places there then. One was owned by a Lady? from Oregon who had a great collection of 50's R&R stuff....Big dust up there, shots fired Wild West...Quite the place...

4x4abc - 12-3-2018 at 04:34 PM

very clean now - looks like Orange County

chuckie - 12-3-2018 at 05:08 PM

Boring!
