I wish I could smell the flowers over the internet!

These flowers are truly heaven scent.

Nan Sterman is a local San Diego treasure.

The variety of colors and the diversity of scents that go along with each color variety makes these exceptional. That these can create their own color and scent varieties simply by growing next to each other and pollinating each other by wind blown pollen can make for some unique, all their own, flowers across the color spectrum.

Thank you Nan.

That these require little watering to prosper in our arid climate makes these perfect for all of us in the southwest and in Baja.

Every time I see these flowers, it is impossible not to take whiff. Heaven scent it is.

The cuttings have a great ability for transplanting well, go for it.
The bark develops very thick on the sun exposed trunks and is a form of cork.

You gave me a little push start. I just took a cutting from my tree that does not get enough sun in back, so I can have a pot in front where I can see it.
Maybe sneak one down to Baja in September. Lots of sun there.

Let the cutting scab over before planting.

the video indicated an ideal PH of 6.5. most soils here in bcs that i have cultivated are 8+Ph. that might explain why mine lacks the robust appearance of those in the video. i recently have been adding sulfur to the soil in order to get the ph closer to where i would like it.
