This forecast is projected out one week from today, so it is a big maybe at best. The model is the European model, which is frequently more accurate
than the NOAA model, which shows it nowhere near the cape.
Edit; It appears that I screwed up the copy and paste for windy.com, so just play with it and see what might be in the near future!

Abalone fishing just started and now they will be interrupted by a few days of big swell this weekend and next week...hope it pushes some warm water
up our way as the ocean temps are under 60!!! poor divers are freezing in thin wetsuits.AKgringo - 6-7-2018 at 07:18 AM
Correction! Aletta is forecast to have a westward track. The un-named disturbance still forming south of Mexico is the one that
may bring a storm to the cape!

That "windy" site is really cool. Thanks for posting it. Allows for forecasting that I could not do before. SFandH - 6-7-2018 at 01:10 PM

Yes. it's an impressive website. One stop weather data. It has it all. Click the "more layers" option on the right side verticle menu. Wow!
Plus, right click to see more options.shari - 6-8-2018 at 11:43 AM
the swell is building from the south here in Asuncion now...abalone fishermen couldnt even get out this morning and all pangas are being pulled out
now...could be till next Wednesday till it calms down.tiotomasbcs - 6-9-2018 at 06:37 AM
Updates and graphics appreciated. Storm behind Aletta appears to be targetting us here in BCS....RAIN!!! Very, very dry here in southern desert.
Thanks. Tiobajabuddha - 6-9-2018 at 08:45 AM
Aletta is veering to the west and starting to weaken now, no threat to Baja. However, according to windyty.com there's another disturbance that will
take shape probably in the next 48 hours, and the current course is dead-on to south cape, and probably a week from today. However, all this can
change, but it does look to being a "named storm" very soon.StuckSucks - 6-9-2018 at 08:48 AM
Bud was nipping at Aletta's heels and is the new bad boy in the barrio who may bring some weather to the Baja!
The swell began to build yesterday and the abalone fishermen couldnt get in or out of the launch area...all pangas were beached yesterday and it looks
like Juan will have a week off as Bud's swell will follow this one...geeze.....the fishermen were so happy to finally start the ab season and they
only got 4 days in!
So dust off your hurricane plan ...the season has begun!
Bud.....?

I figure even Bud's nards will shrink when he hits the cold water! doubt he will get up that far...but ya never know ....and looks like the swell will
last all week up our way in central baja.BigBearRider - 6-9-2018 at 08:05 PM
Just a tip, don't google "Aletta Ocean" for info on this Pacific hurricane.
