Anyone have any direct information regarding camping situation at Punta Canoas? Security? General vibe? Been 5 or 6 years and would like to have an
idea if it will be safe to camp alone. Also U2U meet about wave quality.

If you felt safe 6 years ago not much has changed. And just like every other surf spot in the world some days it’s epic most days it isn’t.

Like Woody says... I was there in 2007 and again in 2017. No change, no growth, no tourist facilities... just a commercial fishing camp. I camped
alone, but not there... too windy!:
