For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:
An elongated area of low pressure located several hundred miles
southwest of Acapulco, Mexico, continues to produce disorganized
shower and thunderstorm activity. Conditions may become more
conducive for development when a second weather system approaches
this disturbance from the east over the next several days, and a
tropical depression could form by the middle of next week well
offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.
Showers and thunderstorms are gradually becoming better organized
near an area of low pressure located about 800 miles south-southwest
of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, but satellite
wind data indicate that the low's circulation remains somewhat
elongated. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive
for development while the system moves northward over the next day
or two, and a tropical depression is likely to form before the
system reaches colder waters on Monday.

all I'm saying is beware. the waves go in the direction the storm is traveling and radiate out from it. if the forward movement of the storm is
greater than about 10-12mph it over runs the swells it is producing and, well, that just sucks. slow moving strong storms are ideal if you want
macking surf! and who doesn't want that?

Yes... need some warm water. Been a long time since I’ve done any surfing but I remember not liking cold water . So hopefully it will warm up to at least 67 soon. Will be down there in a little
more than 2.5 weeks

Cool. Spent weeks there each year between 86-91.
Edit: we used to stay at Casas de Acali run by a guy named Mario Inouye. It was a compound of cabanas just past the hotel Santa Fe heading south.
Those were some good times!

The swell has picked up last few days down here! The wind has calmed down leaving glassy morning ocean conditions. Head high surf today with nice
angles...rights and lefts. Water in low seventies. Life is Good!
. So hopefully it will warm up to at least 67 soon. Will be down there in a little
