Matomi 3-16-18
Sidewinders club trip. An assortment of rigs. SUV, Jeeps, ATV, Beetle, sand rail and another buggy. Don’t remember the count. A pretty big group.
Pics show some of the hard places at the narrows, and more pics at Rancho Matomi. The pools look pretty gross and were full of moss.
The route of the day was El Dorado-Morelia Junction-East valley road-Valley Chico- into Matomi- to Rancho Matomi-Lunch- Then downhill thru Matomi to Highway 5.
No significant issues at the narrows. One rig had tire falloff the rock and we stacked so more rocks and he drove thru.

In 2001we camped at El Camote's place in El Dorado Ranch. We saw the Sulfur Mine, Nuevo Mazatlan, & Shell Island on Saturday and did the Matomi Canyon run on Sunday:
