From Sunbelt, my book's distributor:

The San Diego Union Tribune Festival of Books will take place at Liberty Station on August 25th starting at 10:00 am and runs until 5:00 pm. Buy one book, and get one free book from a selection of quality titles. Several authors are scheduled to sign books and chat with fans at our booth.

In addition to the Sunbelt booth, several Sunbelt authors will have their own space at the festival. Philip Pryde, author of San Diego: An Introduction to the Region, will be selling and signing books at his table. David Kier, author of Baja California, Land of Missions, Max Kurillo, author of Coloring California Missions, and Michael Martino, author of HELP! San Diego Lifeguards to the Rescue are sharing a table.

Hey, can I get my Mission book signed! Again I think.
But I make it tradition!

David K - 8-20-2018 at 03:33 PM

Bring it there and I will sign it (10 am-2 pm). Take me flying, you get a signed copy! LOL

Anyone who orders a copy from www.oldmissions.com gets a signed copy sent to them.
The book is in its 5th printing and for 2018, 20 new photos and updated data for several of the missions.
Thank you!

If I lived a bit closer (not the 450 miles at present) I would be there.
Best of luck to your sales and signing event.
Would love to meet Edie
Just finished her book of that truly heroic walk up the Mission trail through Baja.
Every time the cactus spines poked through I cringed.
Great read....
Please give her greetings from a new fan....

I looked it up.
It's at Liberty Station.
I've been there alot but didn't know it was called that.
I just called it the Navy Base.
That is my favorite San Diego area.
So I will try to make it.
I need to get over to the fish landings and see what't up and it's right down the street from the Book Fair.
Hope to see fellow Nomads there!

Cool!

Great turnout today!!!
I enjoyed meeting Nomads 'paranewbi' and 'bajaric' as well as others who stopped by our table. Max Kurillo is there to 5 but I have a big family event I left at 2 for (a new grandson is coming this October!).
Thanks for the interest in Baja California Land of Missions.

One more person who was at the event, which made the day special was Iris Wilson Engstrand, author of Royal Officer in Baja California, Joaquin Velazquez de Leon, c1976. It is #37 of the Dawson Book series.

Iris told me she is working with the new El Triunfo Museum efforts which makes it a really small world as the person who is a big part of that is someone I know and we have been working with his wife on our house hunting the past couple of months.

Anyway, it was a nice day in San Diego and meeting Nomads and other fans of Baja history was great!
