A lot of people will be getting into San Felipe late on Monday night and Tuesday morning if coming into town on Highway 3. There has been heavy rainfall in the mountains and a portion of it has found its way into an Arroyo that crossed Highway 3 immediately East of Valle de la Trinidad. Many, many cars and trucks are backed up on both sides of the highway waiting for the floodwaters to subside.

Do you know about how many miles East of VT

Probably that huge wash with no bridge about 18 miles East of Valle T just before you drop into the dry lake.

Or it could be that big one right outside of town. I don't think it has a bridge either.

The arroyo east of San Matias around KM151 flooded during the 1990 Baja 500 race, pretty exciting. Traffic stopped for a while then the racers started moving thru with help from the spectators.

If this happened on August 14 (Tuesday) it is long past
Baja floods are awesome
and brief
Probably dust clouds in the arroyo today

It was in the middle of the valley, not San Matias Pass as I drove by twice this week and a dozer was busy moving sand where the highway swings across the valley.
