This was my 2nd time to stay here and primarily because it is pet-friendly & good price online ($23 night). Most people there were camping rather than staying in rooms. Restaurant has decent food. Good wi-fi and TV reception.

Looks like a fun spot!
Thank you!!

Thank you for pointing out some pet friendly places! I seldom have an itinerary, so booking online isn't going to happen.

Do you know the rates when someone just shows up without a reservation?

Thanks Mary for the review. I'll put it on my places to stay when in the area.

Really lovely.

Is this the place that has a restaurant and bar at the top of the stairs? I think I have been by but never stayed.

I agree, Mary. I have stayed there a couple of times and it is a good place for the money.

Stopped in there once for lunch and agree, it's decent.

perfect spot to bust out the longboard.....

Stayed there year and a half ago because I wanted to reserve a place ahead of time because of Semana Santa. Nice people, nice place, 2km off Mex 1 down a dirt road. It would have been so quiet, except the group of friendly young people also staying there played CDs outside our room all...night...long.

I've showed up there without a reservation and it's the same price. They don't have a ton of rooms so there is a possibility that they will be full up.

Looks like they have done more construction on the second floor since I was there last.

We have stayed there several times and been generally happy with everything. We tried out one of the new upstairs suites two years ago and it was quite nice, they seem to have done some remodeling on the downstairs rooms also. They have a really nice fresh lobster dinner when they are in season which is something I always look forward to. One thing to watch out for if it looks like there is no other guests, check to see if you have hot water, sometimes it goes out and no one knows about it. This is good advice in any small baja hotel, turn on the hot water as soon as you get in the room then there is time to get it going before you need it.

Is there secure parking? Thinking this might make a great stop over on our way down to Punta Chivato next month. We will have a truck and flat bed trailer loaded with stuff.

I saw no secure parking when I stopped there.

They usually had a guard around at night, you might have to wake him up to tell him your being robbed. We have never had a problem there or heard of one but there is always a first time. If you stay on the room all the way to the North you can pull your trailer very close to your room and there is a window to check on your load.
