Great month of nomading

bike4mee - 12-23-2018 at 05:45 PM

Just completed a great month of nomading. It started going down the mainland to Guaymas and trying to catch the small ferry to santa rosalia. We eventually did after a 2 day delay. Only cost $220 USD. There is still great free beach camping in San Carlos, a good place to wait for the ferry. After driving Hwy 5 to San Felipe (the worst road in Baja) i'll wait for the ferry anytime.
Now being in the south it was all fun. Favorites being El Comer, Los Frailes. Everytime I go down there leads to the" Next year I'll go there" ideas. The whales finally got to the east cape. The trigger fish bite on anything in the rocky areas. After getting in an accident, glad I had mexican insurance, I'll always have a copy of my policy and show the adjuster my original DL. My intestines can't eat at all the fish stands. It was nothing a course of Cipro couldn't cure. There is a lot of hiking trails, many gringo camps have made them and you just have to ask. Beadhead hooks with white swim powerbait cast out in the surf will catch fish.
I hope this site starts a adventure blog for those nomads that want to exercise having fun, like hiking, biking, kayaking. I believe Baja offers all of this lets share those places
enjoy

Thanks for sharing! Ya, Cipro and Treda are "must haves" for Baja travel!

If you think the road to San Felipe is bad, you might not like the places I camp at. Sounds like you had a gas. I love those swim baits on light tackle for sure.

What a great trip you had.

Out of curiosity, since this has been an ongoing debate here on nomad since time began, did anyone ask you for your immigration (FMM) when you filed your insurance claim?

No, the adjuster didn't care about the FMM card. The ferry officials required it
Has anybody had luck just buying cipro without a script at the pharmicias?
