There is never a guarantee but the odds are good.

Geo_Skip - 12-25-2018 at 07:21 PM

You will have the opportunity to touch the whales IF the whales want you to. That is often the case, but they make the decision, not you. Be respectful, please.

Shari can help.

How big is a huge group? My biggest group was about 45 people....the ejido Benito Juarez camp has 6 boats so can accommodate over 50 people in one go...but you need reservations to do this...which I can help with. There is also a restaurant there so we can feed you after your whale watch too!

All of the ww operators can take large groups, if you reserve in advance. There are good operations at guerrero negro and san ignacio. Very different vibe at each location...

This is wierd. I was thinking of whales.
I saw the whaling boats full of tourist trying to harpoon a photo of a whale today. From Newport Harbor.
I think it's too early.
I didn't see any spouts from the beach.
But January is peak whaling season here for the southbound trip.
I will let you know. I will swing by the Balboa Pavillon and check.
I think they include whale sighting in the daily fish count now.
They spot fins and blues now too.

Whales never wear clothes.

fishbuck - 1-6-2019 at 01:49 PM

I'm thinking it will be cold and windy there.
I would opt for clothing.
I do however put on private shows (ladies only) in a nice warm tent.

Have some friends here in town visiting us in Loreto, thinking of heading to Lopez Mateo to look for whales, I don't think many have shown up yet?

justsomedude - 1-21-2019 at 11:48 AM

I'm going on Sunday out of Malarrimo.

defrag4 - 1-28-2019 at 09:11 AM
