This is the second time this winter where an approaching Pacific front and moisture from the south are sandwiching a weak high pressure area centered
around Mulege. The high is keeping the central Baja area and central Sonora area clear and mostly dry, but it served to draw the southern moisture up
to the southern Baja area.
