Who has walked across a frozen lake?

We went across June Lake in the Sierras over the weekend. Would it be cool to try to ride a bike across it?

30 years in alaska.drove a dozer to a remote cabin. crossed about 20 lakes. average ice thickness on that trip was 5 feet. trippy stuff, ice.

Colorado ice fishing. Not as fun as it sounds.

Lakes and rivers are seasonal roads in much of Alaska!

Yep, walked and rode a snow machine just below 100 MPH, I know the ice was thick but it still freaked me out... I prefer to go around when I can. June lake area is so awesome, summer and winter..

Years ago while in high school we went cross country skiing up in the mammoth area. Ended up sleeping on a frozen lake ....

I used to ride ice back in Michigan. You just put a couple of hundred sheet metal screws into your knobs, and get great traction on ice. Sucks on concrete though.
