Last weeks Cycle News "In The Wind" section said the Dakar Rally may move to Saudi Arabia. This years rally was held only Peru because several other
South American countries had no interest in it. Several African countries have shown interest but Saudi Arabia has the money and it fits in with their
Vision 2030 theme. They expect a final decision to be made in June.
