Very nice.

These two are both from the same bay, where is it?

My post might have been a little confusing. 2nd set are San Evaristo. First ones are out around Tecolote, just a bit East. Lots of deserted beaches out there to explore.

Love the vaquero photos -- where is this rancho? Also, what is in that coffee cup to the left of yours, with the green stuff?

Rancho San Gregorio.
The yellow cup has Yerba Borrego, a plant that the vaquero pulled out of the ground that was growing near where we stopped for lunch.

When not in use the coffee cup is fastened to the top strap on your chaps. You would think it would get in the way when in the saddle, but it doesn't.

Wow lots of great photos and variety of views. Some I recognize others not so much.

Paulina - nice that you can get your horse fix in such an incredibly scenic off the beaten path area. :dudette:

Also love the vaca's on vaca-cation. We camped on east cape 20 years ago and saw lots of vaca's wading in the water to cool off. Good times.

Thanks for sharing! Keep em coming.

Like it a lot, only complaint is have to climb around to take a whiz 20 times a night, but I'm old, lol. Less beer more wine ;-).

I was kinda wondering about that. Thanks for the reply. I´m old too but maybe only 2 whizzes a night:lol:

Options are to just pee from up there, hoping nobody is sleeping below, or take an empty, (wide-opening for me, lol), plastic bottle into the tent!

Oh Ya , Olympia beer..

REALLY Fond memories as that was the first kind of beer I ever tried. I was about 10 and my Dad would let us have "just a sip"

They stopped selling Oly in So. Cal. for probably since the 70's

That was Parnelli Jones who just returned to his trailer in Ensenada after pre-running the course for the next day's start of the Baja 1000, 1973. I was 16 when I took the photo and talked to the Indy 500 winner, '71 & '72 Mexican 1000, and '70 & '73 Baja 500 winner.

Photobucket dropped from whatever ridiculous amount they were asking, to now only $4.99 a month.

Plus they are displaying old images now, they just put a label on the pics.

DK uses some free alternative and posted about it a lot.

Udo: email, u2u, Facebook message, or phone call are all possible ways to let me help you. The latest Photobucket stupidity is that they took away the upload options to pre-size the photos to 800 or less pixels (for Nomad posting). TMW and I still use Photobucket, and new photos uploaded require adding =800x after the IMG in the tag. The easiest site JZ mentions I have been advising folks like fishbuck to use is www.postimages.org ALL you need to do is set the photo size to 800 or 640 on the drop down that reads "Do not resize my image".

[Edited on 5-23-2019 by David K]

Marc - 5-23-2019 at 10:55 AM

I now use Postimage but had trouble with it until someone here suggested to delete the s from https on the image code (or whatever it is called). And it's free! Wonder how they survive.

Marc - 5-23-2019 at 11:07 AM

David K - 5-23-2019 at 11:56 AM

You don't need to use the Nomad Image button when you paste links from sites like Photobucket or Postimages.org... it is already built into the link. Use the Nomad image button when adding photos from websites.
