Best places to stay around Mulege/Concepcion?

What's your go to places? Only places we've stayed are Serenidad and Playa Frambes.

If you need luxury or full on hotel comfort, then those two. However, if you are not as needy, Mark and Olivia at Playa Buenaventura have home rentals and a few rooms at the hotel next door. Also, there are cabins (cabañas) at Los Narranjos (same turnoff as Playa Frambes).

I enjoyed staying right in town, at the Hotel Hacienda! It is located right next to the town plaza, and I think you and your family would enjoy walking around it in the evenings.

There is off-street parking for your truck, and you could bring your bikes into the courtyard if you need to.

They have a couple of rooms that my dog was allowed to stay in with me, but she was required to be on leash in the courtyard. Right across the street from the rear parking area, is a path down to the river where I could walk her.

I agree with AK gringo, it's the only place I have stayed but it was nice and they did our laundry for a couple of dollars! Always wanted to checkout Mark and Olivia's, can't get a better location!

I used to love camping at Punta Chivato! Way back before there were any houses there.... I think you can still camp there. Russ could confirm...

I’m also in agreement with La Hacienda Hotel, walk to everything & good people! Been there many times....And a small pool when it is warm.... They have a website also..

I have friends that like this place in town, I haven't stayed there.

Thanks guys. Will check out Hacienda. And also swing by Buenaventura.

We've never stayed in the area more than a night. Going to give it a good 3-4 days soon.

Just message Mark on their Buenaventura Facebook page. That's how I contact him if I have a question. As you may recall, when Muñoz (the black hand) lost in court, the judge awarded the hotel to Mark & Olivia as compensation for all the evil Muñoz inflicted on them. Well, in one last insult, Muñoz had his thugs rip out all the copper wire and mess the place as much as possible. Since then, Mark has repaired a few of the rooms for guests to rent.

Might want to try Don Chanos if your setup for camping. It is right on the north side of the river and walking distance to town.

We kayak down the river to El Patrons for dinner and come back up the rio at night. If you have a head lamp on it attracts fish that almost jump in your boat. Impaired night time kayaking, is a lot of fun.

Coyote Beach @ sunrise is a surreal experience.
Hopefully chocolate clams are still sold there in the afternoons
No bad days on Burro Beach, good vibes abound.
Bertha's has great food too.
Camp at least one night, keep it real
