The recent La Mision fire exposed some archaeological stuff

The coastal arroyo's with the archaeological site the students exposed @ Bajamar has had all the dense Sumac around it burned away in the recent fire. I'm hearing the fire exposed yet another village site in the arroyo.

Last big burn for us was 1974 and 2006 . Starting over yet again, it burned worse than the past

Interesting. Headed down there in December. How far from the highway is this site? Might be worth checking it out, and see the damage from the fire.

Same thing a few years back at Mission Santa Gertrudis

Right off Hwy @ K77
Along coastal bluffs and stream bed arroyo's, look for the minden piles, will be walking about soon myself
