Now I feel your pain in TJ and Ensenada and on down south.
The Costco even had toilet paper, but no Pacifico.
Had to settle for Modelo, which is sort of o.k.
Plenty of Corona, but hard to tell that from Bud Lite.

Things come and go at Costco, all the time.
Still plenty of Pacificos at Winco!!
No Tecate Roja

No Tecate in La Mesa, Ca. Walmart! But there was Modelo Especial.
They don't come and go, they just get moved around
Costco strategy is to move stuff,
Makes you look around, and they hope you will buy stuff you don't need
They call it ""The Treasure Hunt"
Also, if they are discontinuing an item there is a little asterisk up in the right hand corner of the shelf tag.
Pacificos still had the tag, just no brewskischuckie - 6-7-2020 at 07:22 AM
I spent a year in Modesto one month. Wasnt much of anything there. Made Oxnard look like Bel Aire.Hook - 6-7-2020 at 07:33 AM
Then, you've never drunk much Budweiser regular. I did, once. It was famous for headaches, when they were still adding a preservative to it. Even
after they began shipping cold, like Coors always did, I never went back. I will drink a Bud Light, occasionally. That is probably the best-balanced,
commercial light beer I've ever had.
Pacificos become the preferred, standard-priced Mexican lager when down there, for me. And I like that they are still using returnable bottles. I
really dont like drinking beer from a can, unless I can pour it immediately. Not always convenient in Mexico.
Modelo tastes too similar to Corona and Corona has an odd taste; kinda dishwatery. Lime definitely improves Corona, as it covers that weird taste up.
Tecate has very little flavor, though it is far superior from a keg, IMO. Dos Equis is too sweet.
My fav mass-produced Mexican beer is still Bohemia Clara which is considered a Pilsner. Yes, a slight sweetness up front, and a mild bitterness on the
finish. But it has a bit of a price premium and is almost never on sale.
Rainy day musings..........over an inch of rain expected in Eagle, today.
