Funny, when I saw this post I was reminded of an American we encountered in Los Barriles last year.
He had constructed a palapa on the public beach and was chasing away anyone who dared to approach or recreate nearby, claiming it was his own private
area and he would have them arrested.
One of my friends summoned a police officer driving by and asked. The expression the officer used to describe the guy loosely translated to, "Ignore
him; he's a tool." So we did.
I'm glad you're not that guy.
