Understanding the posts

jrbaja - 3-30-2005 at 11:55 AM

It seems as if there is a major comprehension problem on this board.
At least David knows where I am coming from with my posts.
It is to open eyes with the hope that the idiots I see on a regular basis down here clean up their acts.
I had no idea so many on here would take what I have to say personally. Being baja Nomads led me to believe that you actually cared about Baja.
But, from the responses of some on here, I would have to say that my observations and comments were directed to the heart of the problem here on baja sometimes Nomads.
Pay attention ofishyonadas, what I say is true and the majority of you vacationers are an embarrasment to gringos. Ask anyone who does more than vacation here.
Except of course those too old to think right and those who try to spread gossip like those in the gringo enclaves north of la Paz. Eh *******?

PSYCHIATRY - 5 cents.
JR, a lot of what you say is true, but it's the truth wherever you go anywhere. Foreigners in a foreign land will behave like such. You can't change the world, and you'll just have to live with your personal opinions and observations. Cut yourself some slack instead of letting it become a negative thread in your life. You're not unique, you know, the phenom is played over and over with different players in different costumes, in different locales. And you know it's going to get worse with all the retirees moving in. But choosing a positive outlook tempered with a little foregiveness and helpfulness will ease your point of view. I'm sorry, but the "old days" are the past.
That'll be 5 cents, please.

I disagree Wilderone

To ignore problems is a very common although highly destructive traight.
To bring to light and discuss openly things that need repair absolutely opens many eyes.
Not all people on here are P-nche gringos and the ones that were shall we say "borderline" P-nche just may come around and actually think about their actions when it is brought to their attention.

That about says it all. JR's extraterrestrial vision of his existence is to bring enlightenment to the great masses of unwashed and ignorant "P-nche, Gringo Nimrods". This mission has no doubt been handed down from the firmament.

Woe be onto us that ignore such great wisdom.

Having willy around

jrbaja - 4-1-2005 at 11:47 AM

reminds me of having an abobo around.
Do you guys bowl together too?

change

mulege marv - 4-1-2005 at 01:05 PM

we use to live in the lake tahoe area and it became overun with with bay area money. every new yuppie wanted to be the last one allowed to move there, after them no one else should be allowed, it was getting to crowded. they also brought with them opionions of the way it should be and how everybody else should listen to them. we got out and live in baja fulltime, do we have opionions, yes, but are not here to tell anyone else we should be the last ones allowed to move here, or try to change anything. there are many things we dont agree with in baja, but the good far outweight the bad. change always happens and is inevitable, but it is slower here. we don't miss the traffic, headaches, stress, and are glad to be among such nice people. yes we are newbies, we have only been coming to the baja, for about 20 yrs and are new residents.

Bruce R Leech - 4-1-2005 at 01:12 PM

well spoken Marv and welcome to Mulege.

Shhhh only write about the bad stuff here.

Diver - 4-1-2005 at 01:26 PM

Careful JR, the admin could delete your past posts and re-label you "Newbie" !
You'd have to start all over again !

HaHa

I've been going down since the mid 70's but have never stayed for more than 8 weeks at a time. I am a senior vacationer but a less than newbie resident.

Every time I go, I see more change; some good and some bad. Same thing I see in good old Washington State. (We have Canadians here too)

For some reason my heart always call for baja when I'm here but never calls for the states when I'm there.

An Abobo ??

MrBillM - 4-1-2005 at 04:04 PM

JR, are you growing a lot of Mushrooms along with your Bamboo ?

Since you are REMINDED of having an Abobo around, the logical inference is that you have an association with Abobos.

I ask about the Mushrooms because some of your ramblings remind me of my youth on the beach and the people I would encounter who made liberal use of mind-altering chemicals.

Pet your Abobo for me and give Alice a kiss.
