Discover Baja Travel Club... sort of the newer home for Mexico West Travel Club... but we are talking 1990s! www.discoverbaja.com

Baja Bound Insurance, is not a club but has a monthly newsletter/ bulletin that goes out to its clients. Here is where all the past articles can be viewed from the several writers, including me: https://www.bajabound.com/bajaadventures/

Just call it “Baja,” and never call it “the Baja.”

That Maneadero checkpoint was a hoot!
Did you ever meet Tom or Shirley Miller? Both super nice.
I used to write for Mexico West a few travel articles. I was 16 in 1974 and did my first, non-parent Baja trip that year. El Mármol, Gonzaga Bay, San Felipe, over Spring Break.

I went to Mexico West dinner party in San Clemente and went to two camping events hosted by Tom and Shirley Miller (Laguna Manuela and Posada Don Diego). Shirley introduced me to the girl who would become my first wife! That was in 1984.

One of the great things about the Internet is connecting with 'Baja brothers and sisters'! I had several Viva Baja parties from 2000 to 2006 so we all could meet and share. See the photos of them on my website (in their own group). They spawned the four BBBB camping parties and six Pyramid Resort Book signing events. Antonio ('BajaCactus') had a couple of great events in Tijuana and organized the cultural festivals in El Rosario, mid-2000s.
Now, Facebook is the bigger Baja conversation platform over Nomad, which was once huge.
