Loreto Hotels

Hi
Planning to be in Loreto next month for three nights. Any suggestions on hotels would be appreciated.

It really depends what you are looking for.
There are a lot of options depending on what you want and your budget.
La Mision is approx $160 a night, great pool, incredible service, beautiful place. The closest to a 'resort' in Loreto. Great restaurant, bar, etc....
Posada del Cortez is a small boutique hotel, nice, clean, perfect for our needs many times.
Hotel Angra, closer to the highway, nice, clean, more affordable.
The list goes on. Depends on what you want, all the way down to $10 a night places that are nice enough...

My wife will only let us stay at LA Mision! it is a great place.

La Mision is the best by far.

Get an ocean view room on the 3rd or 4th floor.

La Mision if you can afford to splurge. It is so beautiful, right on the water.

we usually pick the ElDorado one block back from the malecon, clean and affordable

Oasis is my 2nd choice. Right on the ocean.

Cheaper than La Mision.

Another vote for the La Mision. If you play the back and forth, gosh it's a bit pricey for us game, you might get a room for about $130 a night.

Highly recommend a massage while you are there too! I had never got one before and my wife talked me into trying.

Again she was right, again.

Enjoy, Loreto is a great Baja city.

Just got back from Loreto and stayed at La Mision, splurged and stayed at there master suite, room was incredible and so was the view. The only downside was that the WiFi was very sketchy at best and around 5am you can here them setting up the restaurant that is directly below. Next time will stay at a standard room.

Our first time at Coco Cabanas was fine - but no easy walking route to the Malecon.

Second time, at about 8:00 p.m. a band started in the west side enclosed patio. - I went to the manager and asked how late would that be going on? Really loud - "Oh maybe 2:00 in the morning!" - was so late we didn't want to change hotels so we sucked it up.

Thought we'd give it one more try last May - I had learned enough to take a quick look around - you might have guessed it - the same west side patio was being set up for a party.

hola,
myself and friends always stay at hotel angra, a small boutique hotel that is inexpensive, super clean and has large rooms. english speaking owners on site that are very accomodating.

not close to the malecon but walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

good offstreet parking and security.

Finding prices for 2 rooms for 3 people on a very quick visit at above mentioned places quite pricey considering we will not be taking advantage of in house accommodations. Arriving after dark and leaving at sunrise or shortly after. Any reason why we should be avoiding Marina Nopolo at far cheaper cost? Travel sites seem to rate it very high.

I stayed here in 2017, nice to park in front of my room, modern. A neighborhood rooster began crowing after midnight (not the hotel's fault)... otherwise it was a nice place and served a continental breakfast, too.

I am really starting to think if you DON'T hear a rooster crowing middle of the night, you are somehow missing the whole experience. This last trip I ran across my first rattlesnakes, swept out a huge scorpion from the front room (thankfully before my wife came across it) and enjoyed our first storm deluges on the local back roads. What would we do without all these interesting events in our lives?

It was about 1989 and we had been camping for a couple of weeks on the beach in San Jose del Cabo, three kids and four adults. It had been a great trip and we were on our way home. We stopped the first night at El Morro campground/motel in Loreto. As I pulled in with our little PacMan trailer I noticed three or four rigs set up on the east end of the lot. So I pulled far over to the west end and set up next to the fence. Paula made us a big heroic dinner with most of the left over food in the trailer and we hit the sack early.

At a very early hour I realized why all the other campers were way over there. The boys were up at the c-ck farm just the other side of the fence and they were going off. This was about the time when Paula awoke from The Dream that was stimulated by all the c-ck-doddle-doing. Picture poor harried Paula standing in the trailer door with all the rest of us just outside yelling, whenarewegonnaEEEEEAT,
whenarewegonnaEEEEEAT, whenarewegonnaEEEEEAT!!!!!????

To this day, nobody in our family can hear a rooster crow without thinking, when are we going to eat.

The budget traveler could do way worse than an Airbnb hosted by Genesis. There are four apartments. I've stayed there three times, paying between $28 and $40 per night. It's quiet, spotless, strong AC and WiFi, comfortable beds, appliances in excellent working and aesthetic condition. Walking distance to waterfront, the historic mission, a supermarket and range of restaurants ranging from humble to fancy (last spring, had some of the best ceviche ever at a street place near the supermarket). Secure, gated parking and Netflix in English.
