Corre Caminos- Guadalupe Valley

thebajarunner - 4-1-2005 at 08:07 PM

Wrote this up last year under general discussion.
Got several responses, all very positive.
This is an excellent breakfast, lunch and early dinner place.
Very good food, not a lot of atmostphere, but comfortable.
Prices were reasonable, cannot quote exact after a year but in the $5 to $6 range.
No alcohol served, nor do they want you to bring it in.
Lots of locals eat here, because the food is just really good.
At San Antonio de las Minas, just South of Guadalupe on the Tecate Hwy (East side)
Food 4+/5 Service 4/5 Ambience 3/5

We need to build a nice database of restaurants.

BTW, I may have been the one that went there, based on your original recommendation. It was very good.

We ate there again two days ago, and it was just as good as a year ago.
This place is a refreshing stop, well done chicken, steak and traditional dishes.
A winner!

Landmarks?

Can you describe the location more with some landmarks please. Is it near the bridge over the sandy creekbed,by the viveros just past the Y into Glupe (going south) or am I even close? Thanks

It is actually in San Antonio de las Minas, a few miles south of the main town of Guadalupe (whatever else they may call it)
East side of the hiway, it is a long building made of dark natural wood, plenty of windows facing the highway.
You cannot miss it, perhaps 5 or 6 miles South of the big bridge in the valley.
Heads up when you leave Ensenada, you will come to the San Antonio town sign, then several random restaurants, then a bit of a break, then Corre Camino.
