Usually, if I went, it was just after Christmas and stay through New Years (L.A. Bay often). I do remember one trip that my kids stayed with their mother (rare break for me), and I was in Baja on Christmas 2001. My girlfriend (Nomad 'jeans') and I were at Cocina Pacifica Resort, with Nomad 'bajabus' in Elias Calles, south of Todos Santos.
