bajatrailrider - 6-12-2022 at 08:25 PM

No worries we go on paseos every month and many weeks too

advrider - 6-13-2022 at 10:03 PM

I won't make this one but I would love to go on the next trip. We are in Nor cal so it's a bit of a haul, just outside Sacramento. We would probably turn it into a week long stay and do some other ridding as well.

bajatrailrider - 6-14-2022 at 08:20 AM

Ok you set the date a week trip here great. If you can give advance notice we can ride local . Or over night runs to other places I ride every week. Have space camp trailer or nice motel here 20 bucks. I forgot what kind of rig you have?

bajatrailrider - 6-14-2022 at 07:08 PM

Our rigs for this trip will be Yamaha 1000r two of them . One with turbo charger and one new Can Am 60 grand buggy. Hoping they make it here from Nevada. Half the driving us guys the other half the ladies. Its unknown if these things can go the route I want . I think so as on Moto I always look . If 4 wheels can fit tight trail or two track.

advrider - 6-14-2022 at 09:53 PM

I have a 2017 Polaris rock and trail addition, well set up and maintained. I don't like fixing stuff on the trail so I spend a lot of time inspecting and maintaining at home. Being you are on the Pacific do you ride all summer with the cooler temps? We would probably hotel it, can't wait to meet up.

bajatrailrider - 6-15-2022 at 08:42 AM

Of course ride all summer if hot only ride beach side. Even in Summer need bring jacket .Anytime on beach side could be cool . Is that model Rock and Trail 2 seat or 4? Is it rock climb model like Can Am? One guy here has Can Am Rock Climb model 2022 2 seat. Not wise choice for Baja as geared too low. At 40 mph at 6500 rpm. We dont drive much over 40mph. As all mountain driving narrow road and two track. My 1000r already 5,500 miles so far knock on wood only flat tires. Pain to work on these things.

advrider - 6-15-2022 at 08:55 PM

It is the two-seat model but its only low geared in low range, in high range it will do over 100MPH. It comes with a winch, bead lock wheels, bumpers, rock rails and full under body skid plates stock. I've had good luck with mine as well, only serviced and changed one belt just as a preventive move.

bajatrailrider - 6-15-2022 at 09:32 PM

HAHA 100mph in a go cart. Mine is only rated at 80mph I would never drive at near that speed. at 10500 rpm cant be good I try too keep at 4000 rpm. Sounds like your is perfect for Baja mine has 29in tires. I have a set of 30in tires but wont use them ,till these smooth.

advrider - 6-16-2022 at 08:22 PM

I put 32's on mine a couple of years ago and really like them. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of going fast, usually more in the 50 MPH range is my top speed but I will open it up every once in a while.

bajatrailrider - 6-17-2022 at 10:22 AM

They got here late yesterday afternoon .So we did pre run :bounce: 100.000 dollar Can Am did not last long . rt lower control arm bent bad cracked where it bent. We did not drive fast nothing hard he hit dirt bank. no speed can am best go fast susp but very weak front susp parts. No worries my shop fixes it this morning .Will Ask David to post pictures of this trip.

Friday good run tight two track Drivers from USA loving cool temps 70s. Today since cool here East side run long up to high country. About 4000ft all green up top big shade trees . Rancho long abandon hoping my keys still fit locked gates. Tonight Other Larry big 60 birthday at Coyote Cals lobster dinners w margaritas. Also one Moto rider runs with us today . From surfer camp hour south hoping safe run.

advrider - 6-18-2022 at 07:06 PM

Always seems like the more you mess with them the more problems you have! My old 800 RZR never gave me a problem and it was mostly stock.

bajatrailrider - 6-19-2022 at 07:28 AM

All that I have seen long travel kits longer control arms. The next part breaks never ends leave it stock. Yesterday I changed ride as we had reservations . At Cals 6pm lobster dinners even with shorter ride . I had to call Coyote Cals 7:30 dinner. Our ride was great due south then north to V T road. First time ever on 4 wheels very good run never saw anybody. The whole route as far as I know over 10 years. Not traveled overgrown with brush will get pictures to David to post.

thank you David. Our trip went well the guys very good drivers as route hard. In one off camber spot we hand held one buggy . To not roll over then hooked tow strap. To mine up high to prevent roll over.

bajatrailrider - 6-24-2022 at 08:51 AM

Most all routes we rode from El Coyotes all roads Score used for races. Even bypass road from race route they got. Wish they would repair roads Or big rain. HAHA good luck on that no locked gates on our run . Never saw anyone but yesterday lots of raptors going south.

Larry, I was informed by a friend of yours that you had a Facebook page? I found it and see you only posted to it twice a years ago... It is an excellent way to share your trips and easy to post photos and videos (without my help, lol).

bajatrailrider - 6-24-2022 at 02:31 PM

Yes thank you David I dont do much face book. Too many people contact me . Sadly I have no time to answer

bajatrailrider - 6-24-2022 at 02:34 PM

Yes we know it was them HAHA. Who else would drive bumper to bumper in dust:bounce: We use a radio or I wait at turn next driver flashes lights .That he sees me we never drive in dust .

advrider - 6-25-2022 at 05:46 PM

Looks awesome, can't wait to get down there and ride.

bajatrailrider - 6-26-2022 at 08:36 AM

We wait for you Adv rider after June 28th . I will take short vacation from this vacation. Get that machine ready ! On a side note both other buggys turbo charged. I found steep sand hill climb very steep. Hit it wide open 3third gear it ran out of power did not make it . Very difficult back down with rear engine buggy. Hit it again wide open but down shifted to second . While keeping RPM pegged 3/4 up down to 1st gear. Made it to my shock both turbo buggys could not make it. They run more air in tires also dont use full knobby tires.
