Going to Loreto middle of July to hopefully hook into some dorado, what fishing line #test do you recommend.

40LB if you are using mono-filament.

30 or 40 if mono like Howard said.
Maybe bring some floro leader line too, 50# -80 # maybe some heavier too. Practice your knots to attach the leader to your main line.
One can spend hours practicing the different latest and greatest leader to main line knots and then the skipper will look at your work and retie yours
anyways. 
Ultimately your skipper will know what to do and tackle is readily available in Loreto at various shops including Ferramar.
