Thanks David. Your mission passion is always appreciated.

It is good to know that some [or all?] of these ruins are being preserved with a protective coating. Out of curiosity, how long has that been happening?

Thanks for your comments!

The protection of [some of] the adobe mission ruins began around 20 years ago. Some of the missions have had no preservation at all, or at least no coating added to wall remains (if there were any): Santo Tomás (3 sites); Santa Catalina; San Pedro Mártir; San Fernando; Santa María (2 sites*).
*Calamajué was the first site.

See the missions (and visitas) from north to south in the 'quick look' web page I made: https://vivabaja.com/mission-site-photos/

I don't remember much being left at the Calamajue site.

The link I provided has a photo at Calamajué... Only outlines of the former adobe walls. As with the the others I named, no protection or preservation of the site.
