Thanks David, that was a great read.

I have been to two of the sites in the GN region, the mentioned Cuevas de Raton and Cuevas Carmen.

Carmen was not mentioned in the article. ? Is it possible it was known as one of those other names in the article or could Carmen have been a more recent discovery?

As the reigning authority on so much other Baja history that we all benefit from, you are the man with the answers. Thanks for your passion.

Surprisingly not included. If Gardner knew it was there he would have included it in his travel stories. Even Harry Crosby did not know where it was during his cave paintings research.
Leon Diguet saw it in the 1890s, but Crosby could not locate it. Probably because it is co close to a major dirt road, it was too easy to get to and others surely would know it's location!!??
