Anyone know if San Ignacio has phone service? I've been trying to book a room at La Huerta for a couple of days and get a busy signal.

Some areas still don’t have landline or cellular, following the hurricane. If phone is not being answered, try WhatsApp, email, FB message…

Is this the number you are calling? It shows up on their website.

Yes, I've using the number from their website. I also cannot reach Rice and Beans so I'm assuming service is down for now.

Here on the central PacSide no villages have either Telmex or Telcel phone service as the main repeater tower in Abreojos fell down and they say it will take weeks to get it back in service.

We are using WhatsApp, Facebook and Magic Jack to make calls but the internet we do have is limited and not working well either so calls drop etc. Price of living in paradise I guess!

Shari, thanx for the intel. I'll call in a month and see how things progress.

I was able to get an email response. No available rooms for my dates 2/28-3/1

I have much better results when I use FaceBook Messenger in combination with Google translate when I try to book rooms at small independent motels.

our area just got cell service restored yesterday thank goodness...so perhaps San Ignacio also has it now.
