The casino is across the street from the court house, not really confidence instilling.

Yikes, that’s a lot of shooting/bodies for a Sunday afternoon!

And on Tuesday, 3 cops were ambushed by sicarios, 2 died, 1 survived.

Wild times in San Felipe

So, is this a cartel power struggle going on in SF? Turf war of sorts? Hope they get it worked out without hurting a bunch of locals and scaring off their business.

PaulW - 9-23-2022 at 08:11 AM

Curious when it happened
Clark,
I believe the date of the killings was September 18 at 6PM and the Mexicali news reported on 9/21
https://www.lavozdelafrontera.com.mx/local/ataque-a-mandos-p...
And confirmed by a large number of FB reports beginning on 9/19-20 and more ever since. I believe the locals know when it happened. As of yesterday, investigators were still on the scene near the Marina.
The report you quoted has the time stamp wrong.
I get my San Felipe news here

The popo were assassinated earlier this week. Looking back via Google, the other killings posted by Pauly apparently were in May.

RFClark - 9-23-2022 at 08:39 AM

Goat,

May of Last Year! The Casino in SF is closed now!

Copacetico1 - 9-23-2022 at 09:33 AM

4 Baja California cops have been murdered in the past 10 days.

What, you never heard the word Cownse before?

PaulW - 11-1-2022 at 03:02 PM

Normal Google translate. Google does not understand the word.
I suspect the author misspelled the word.

Yup, chrome could not deal with an image off Facebook, but Bing did. I used Google translate on Bing because I am to lazy to type the Spanish words.

RFClark - 11-1-2022 at 04:13 PM

Cadáver is corpse in spanish!

That makes zero sense. Google translated a misspelled word to a word that doesn't exist in either English or Spanish?

Yes, so? Cownse is not a word at all.

surabi - 11-1-2022 at 05:36 PM

I think we can sum up that mysterious "translation" with one word- Cofefe!

Takeaway: I wouldn't use that particular translation technique for anything important!

==
It was the first time that I opened translate that allowed inserting an image with Spanish words instead of text and you saw the result.
Something to avoid in the future
