I'll be heading over soon. What have you done there that you might recommend?

You have to go to the mummy museum - Museo de las Momias. Creepiest place you'll ever visit.

It's on the list. Thanks

Santiago mentioned the DR museo and if your a fan of his you can check out Casa de Diego Rivera.
Take the cable car and check out the views from the Pipila monument
The Callejon de Beso and its legend
The Mina Valentina ( I think thats the silver mine Santigo mentioned)

Remarkably, after all these years with mummies, the museum has a pungent aroma. I would not have missed the museum for anything but about 2/3 way through my wife and I headed to a cantina. There are (were?) still male only cantinas with urinals just off to the side of the room!

Beautiful town, do stay on the square despite the late night music!

All excellent suggestions.

Do not miss the "Alhondiga" if you are interested in the history of this Republic. The grainery was a base of those in power since colonial time. In addition to the visual evidence of battle damaged exterior walls, inside the walls houses an excellent museum.

This place oozes history.

Try to get to the Julsrud Museum in Acambaro - fascinating figurines. (Last time I checked on it, the collection was in Europe on tour.) Also the Los Baños de Aguas Buenas sounds interesting. Report back - always wanted to go to this area for the Ruta de Salud.
