Sly ones

I don't mind cleaning up after them so much now that I know who they are. They're usually around in the winter and travel in bands of 2 or 3. If you scan the neighboring rooftops and look at the places where there's no one home, you'll see them on top of even the highest 2-story palapas sleeping in the sun. We could never figure out how they got on to our neighbors trailer palapa which has no obvious access. One day we saw them climb his palo de arco fence and the push the tallest stick with his foot until it formed an arch which provided a 2" diameter tightrope that spanned the 8 feet over to the roof, then they each gracefully walked across and went to sleep.

I think the guy in the photo just stayed out too late cause he didn't budge when we were up on our roof next door drinking coffee.
