Check your U2U, as I already answerd you there first... It is that skinny barrier island between Laguna Paercebu and Bahia Santa Maria... See aerial
and sat. photos on my web page, in the link 'About David K ...'

Baja Nomad member 'ViaBaja' has several photos of his camps out on Shell Island (he calls it 'Shell Beach') at http://www.viabaja.com
There are no facilities, no development, no campos on the island... it is afterall Federal land... That hopefully will keep it the way it has remained
since I first camped on it in 1977... Even an attempt to build an elevated road across the tidal salt flats and mangroves in 1984 (for access during
high tide) has failed... The sand is a mix of crushed shell... very hard to drive on without de-airing your tires to 10-15 PSI.

Shell Beach
is easily accessible @ low to medium tides. Just air down to 10-15 lbs and your Rover will do fine. Rob

Shell Island
Rob is correct, even 2WD motorhomes (Bob and Pat Hale) can drive onto Shell Island, with enough air removed.
Yes, if you get there when it is not an island, you can drive to the edge of the sand in 2WD.
Baja Guru, at your sevice!...
