Great day trippin'

Took a day trip down yesturday to show my buddy a belated b-day. I had the truck loaded with boxes of clothes, blankets, shoes, lamps, ect.... and stopped at the home/shack of a family of 5 that I have been helping out for many years.

I was bummed to see they had moved in the past few months and no one knows where thye went off too. I remembered the house in Maneadero (Agua Vive?) and tried to find it....... no luck. (When I got home I looked up the directions and I was pretty much there if I didn't turn back to
the highway too soon.... oh well.

Ended up going to Punta Banda and then Bufadora since my buddy had never seen the blow hole. Great weather and excellent mariscos at Havana Banana of all places?!! I was not too thrilled of eating at that tourist trap, but my friends recommendation was a good call!

On the way home we stopped into Cantamar and asked at the church to see if they needed any donations and they greeted us with open arms.

Cantamar?

Yep, that community needs to stay supplied with crystal. We should be seeing those donations for sale at the swap meet in Rosarito this weekend.

C'mon Jr......Don't be an ass.
I made the conscious effort to get it all to people who need it. My decision to drop it there was based on me having to pick up a full bed load of tile to bring back across and I had no room for both. I feel better with that than giving it to the Goodwill at home.

Tell you what..... Since my friends are no longer there, lets meet up sometime and I can turn future items over to you and you can deliver them to your resources.
I also would like to come down to Baja Sur and check out your bamboo rancho some day. I have been interested in banboo for a while now. I have a few varieties in the ground here in San Diego and have made some fishing gaffs out of some stalks.

JR, he meant the church in Primo Tapia. Plenty of folks in the Ejido need a helping hand.
