Gringorio's Bird Sightings

I just received a call from Greg/Gringorio. He's in Gonzaga Bay and, having rested for a couple days, is feeling good and ready to paddle out on Sunday morning for Punta Final.

The birds he has seen to date are listed at:

Judy - He said the leg was better after 2 days not spent all day in the kayak, but I think it still concerns him. I told him what you'd said about it likely being a back problem which might be helped more by seat adjustment than padding. He was pleased with your suggestion and was going to give that a try. He also thinks the satellite phone battery problem has been resolved (knock wood), which must be a relief.

A week ago Greg left the icey Spring weather in Colorado, where his practice paddles were limited to a couple of hours each day on the lake. Then suddenly he's on the open Sea, solo, getting unbelievably sunburned (he's quite fair-skinned) and paddling as many as 14 miles per day. Not a wonder it's been a bit of rough going the first week.

I told him that many of us were following his progress, wishing him well along the way. Just knowing that, he said, made him feel good - and he send thanks to all.

I will post again when next I hear from him.

Alright Natalie,

Again, I do thank you for the up-date, . Boy howdy, I do wish Greg well, the best of luck and that all powers that be watch over him and keep him safe and of good spirit. He has already accomplised so much in just getting thru the first week. Wow, what an adventue, leaves me speechless to even begin to express my respect for him and what he is doing.

Capt. Mike - Do you think Brian reads this board? You might want to post this for him on the Greg's Conservation site just to be sure.
