I especially liked your report from La Lobera...this is the kind of stuff many of us wouldn't see or know about without such 'reports' from dedicated
Baja Nomad's taking the time to let us look over their shoulders...Thanks, and I have recorded the GPS waypoints as well!
Baja Nomad and the Internet at it's best... I can almost smell the brisk Pacific Ocean air, and hear the 'bark-bark' of the Sea Lions...

David, I will be returning to the Baja in Feb and have a couple of questions,
1) Is the road to La Bocana as good as it looks in your picture? I'm driving a Chevy Cavalier with front wheel drive and fairly low ground clearance.
2) You mention that the road to La Lobera has been recently graded and that they are charging for overnight camping. Would this be somewhere I can
take a 36 ft Class A pulling the above mentioned toad?

Hola... There are two routes to La Bocana... The one to the right at the split just west of the sharp curve in Mex. 1 (at Mama Espinoza's), is the
dry, high road... about 5.5 miles overall... it goes up near the south entrance to Diamante del Mar then heads back down to the Rosario river valley
(where my photo was taken). This is the best way for 2WD autos... so, yes if you are careful.
The signed shorter way has some water crossings (at least now), passes Rosario Abajo and the fork to Punta Baja and on to the beach... it is about 4
miles, but has sand and water hazards. Antonio may have this graded for the event... or the high road?
La Lobera is fine for most any 2WD auto... But, as I am not a motorhome owner, I suggest someone else give you their advice, or ride the 3 miles in
and back in another car first.
